As a percussionist, Jack Henry has performed in many bands playing all styles of music. He is especially known for his unique and different jazz sound. He has studied drums with the late Charles Tappan in NYC. He has also played in many NYC jazz workshops and jam sessions .He has extensive experience playing numerous club dates in the NY/PA/NJ areas. His legendary experience as a bandleader, began we he hosted the weekly jam sessions at the former jazz club Angry Squire on 7th ave in NYC. Since that time he has lead bands in NYC playing at such legendary jazz clubs as:
Metronome, Triad, Cleopatra's Needle , West Side Bistro , Five Spot , Anarchy Café, Downtime and the long time standing and present jazz club Birdland.
